Donor relationship building-- Nonprofit Times Blog
I talk to our NOZA customers everyday, and most of them are individuals who are striving to raise money for their nonprofit organizations. What I observe most frequently in speaking with these individuals is a sense of urgency. They are not just fundraisers- they are advocates, activists, philanthropists and humanitarians. They want to make a difference. The sense of urgency comes from the desire to carry out their organizations' mission.
When I have a conversation with our customers, I often talk about donor cultivation. Prospect research is key in cultivating donors and starting the relationship-building process-- but so is passion. A thoughtful pairing of research and emotional connection can foster strong donor affinity.
The Nonprofit Times' Blog recently posted Power Donor Relationship Building, an article that focuses on some key aspects of cultivating strong relationships with donors and building donor affinity. It's worth a read-- there are some gems of advice and will get your organization on the right track.
Happy Friday!
