Pawscorp.com helps nonprofits meet their fundraising goals
Good afternoon, fundraisers. I wanted to take the opportunity today to talk about a forward-thinking company called Pawscorp.com that helps nonprofits raise money in a unique way.
Pawscorp.com partners with charities, schools and athletic associations by creating free, personalized fundraising websites through which these organizations can raise money in the pet supplies industry. An example is www.pawscorp.com/aah. Every purchase made on that site contributes 10% of the purchase price (approx 25% of the margin) to Action Against Hunger.
What makes Pawscorp.com different than other charity shopping sites is that they donate no less than 10% of the purchase price on everything they sell. They can track donations down to the individual level so they can create contests between classrooms, clubs, chapters or offices, within a particular organization, and give prizes to the groups which raise the most money (making the activity fun for everyone while providing measurable results). Pawscorp encourages charity partners to link to their paws fundraising site through banners and email links. They are also able to provide proof of the donation for a tax deduction.
According to the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association it is estimated that
$43.4 billion will be spent on pets in the U.S in 2008. So, why not use this stat to further your fundraising goals? And, on top of that Pawscorp.com offers one of the highest percentage donations in the pet supplies industry.
